It is one of the core streams of engineering and there is nothing to worry, there are so many career option for you in government sector. You have secured 72% in bachelor's degree in engineering, so you are eligible for all government related jobs. All you need to do is to clear the written test and interview for getting into government job. Being an Engineer, if you are interested to join Public Sector Undertakings, you will have to appear for GATE entrance exam and crack it with good ranks well below 500 for getting shortlisted for further recruitment process in PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ISRO etc. Some other government job opportunities for you through different entrance exams are: 1. Civil Services examinations if you want to become IAS, IPS, IFS officer. 2. Indian Engineering Services exam. 3. Combined Defense Services for joining different wings of defense like Army, Navy etc. 4. Intelligence Bureau ACIO exam. 5. SSC CGL exam. 6. Banking entrance exams like IBPS, SBI exams. 7. Railway Recruitment board exams. 8. BSNL JTO entrance exam. 9. Bharat Electronics limited entrance exam. 10. Airport Authority entrance exam. IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination. If you have completed bachelor engineering degree course then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination but your written exam subjects are -CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. You can choose any one subject from above mentioned subject. M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also eligible for IES Exam. Final year student are also eligible for IES exam. The applicant age should be in between 21 to 30 years. |
