Re: How to join Air force after passing 12th class with 50 marks in science stream? To join the airforce you have to appear for NDA&NA exam. Conducted by the UPSC twice each year. There is no cut off mentioned to write NDA. It is later that you will be screened on merit basis. So await notification in the employment newspaper. It will be available in your local public library. Read the notification well and apply as per directed. If they plan to introduce a cut off then it will be mentioned there. Until now there wasn't any cut off. |

NDA exam stands for National Defense Service which is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Education Qualification: 12th standard from a recognized university Age limit: Your age should be between 16.5-19 years. Only unmarried male candidates can apply NDA exam. You must be Physically as well as mentally fit. You must be citizen of India. Selection Process: Written exam which consist General knowledge, Mathematics and English. Yes, you are eligible to join the Indian Air Force but for this you have to qualify the entrance conducted by the UPSC as NDA. There is no specific requirement of aggregate to become eligible for the entrance examination. The examination is conducted twice in a year. Candidates who have passed or pursuing in the 10+2 from a recognised board with PCM as main subject can apply. Age of candidates must be between 16.5-19 years. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. So you can apply. But you have to qualify in the entrance examination conducted in two stages as Written and SSB ( Service Selection Board ). The question of the written examination is of 10+2 level for Mathematics. There are also a paper of General Ability. Only qualified candidates of written are eligible for the SSB. During the SSB you have to go with the Medical test also. So you can start your preparation for the examination. For the SSB you can take help of the coaching institute. Yes you can join Indian Air force after your 12th with just round 50% marks as the percentage aggregate in the board examinations does not matter .But for this you will have to clear National Defense Academy examinations for which the necessary qualifications for Indian Air force are as here under :- * You must have the nationality of India . * You must be an unmarried male candidate . * Your age must be within 16.5 years to 19 years . * You must have done your senior secondary education with Science stream with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics as you main subjects from a recognized board . * Also you must be physically and mentally sound as per the requirement of the service . The examination is held twice every year by Union Public Service Commission and is generally popular as NDA I & NDA II . The examination is held in two stages which are Written examination and Service Selection Board interview respectively . For this you should complete the below requirements for NDA. Eligibility to apply for NDA Examination : 1.You should complete the 10+2 with minimum percentage of marks from the recognized University with PCM subjects. 2.Age should be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years. 3.You need to have Maths, Physics and Chemistry are the main subjects. Selection Procedure for NDA Examination : * Written Examination * SSB Interview Notification for NDA is being released in the month of " Oct /Nov and Apr/May " every year. And this was conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Important dates for NDA Examination : --> Starting date to fill the Application form : 27/12/2014 --> Last date to fill the application form : 23/01/2015 --> Date of Examination : 19/04/2015. |

Yes , you are eligible to apply for the NDA entrance examination conducted by the UPSC twice in year or the candidates who aspires to join the Air force , Navy and Army after the 12th class. The eligibility criteria to apply for the entrance examination :- * Candidates must have passed or pursuing 10+2 from a recognised board. * Candidates age must be between 16.5-19 years. * Candidates must have Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects. So you are eligible to apply for the entrance test. The application form will be available on the www.upsc.gov.in. in the month of January for the NDA I and in July for the NDA II. The examination are conducted in two stages as Written and SSB. The written examination contains two paper.The examination for the written stage is conducted in the April and September. *Paper I - Mathematics in which 120 questions of 300 marks are asked. *Paper II- General Ability in which 150 question of 600 marks are asked. Generally it is expected that candidates who solves 40% questions correctly in each paper qualifies in the written examination. Only candidates who qualifies in the written paper are eligible for the next stage as SSB. It is a test of quality of officers in which you have to go through the Psychologist , GTO and Interviewing officer and then for the medical test. After qualifying in the SSB. NDA stands for National Defense Academy.It has three wings; Indian Military Academy. Indian Naval Academy. Indian Air Force Academy. The criteria which has to be fulfilled to get admission in NDA are following:- -The candidate has to clear the entrance exam conducted by UPSC. UPSC conducts this exam twice a year with the name;NDA I and NDA II -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19 years. -Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam. -The qualification required to join NDA is 12th class of 10+2 education system from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. -The selection process involves written examination followed by personal interview by Service Selection Board. -The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards required to join NDA. -The minimum height for a NDA candidate to join Indian Army should not be less than 157 cm. |
