No, diploma candidates are not eligible for BCA and BBA course.

BCA stands for Bachelor's of Computer Application.

The candidate should have completed 12th in any stream preferably Science stream with at least 50% marks with Mathematics as one of the subject of studies from a recognized Board.

Your age shouldn't be bellow 17 years.

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration.

You should qualified in 12 th with any stream in science or commerce or arts from recognized board. Some colleges may conduct entrance examination for BBA admission.

Re: Diploma in Information Technology holder can get admission in BBA or BCA?

Since you have a diploma in information technology, I would suggest you to stay away from any course that could be related to information technology, for example BCA.
The reason I am saying this because if you join BCA you will definitely go for other higher IT courses, thinking that you will secure a job in IT.
Now, mostly the corporate sectors prefer people who have done degree courses all through their life in IT related posts. The moment you say that you have a diploma in your interview, they will not consider you for the post. Forget about interview, before even applying for the interview, you have to enroll for the interview, by submitting your marks and marks sheets online. There there is no space for diploma holders after 10th standard. You can do a diploma, but that is accepted only after you complete your graduation.
So better you strike out BCA or BBA. I am striking out BBA, because currently BBA doesn't have that much of high job possibilities. BBA candidates are ultimately going for higher studies to get a decent job.
So I would suggest that you go for B.Com or B.Sc. These streams always have good job possibilities. They have strong course curriculum. Along with that colleges offering B.Com or B.Sc. have good tie ups with respective corporate sectors. So in my opinion B.Com will be the best choice for you.

Dear Friend
After completion of diploma with information technology you can take admission in the BCA (three year) course. In BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) you will study the subjects from which you are familiar with your diploma study. So you can proceed for BCA course.
You can also take admission in the BBA/B.Com but this is not related to your background stream means computer but you are also eligible to do these courses also. In BBA you will mostly study the subject of management and in the B.Com you will study the subjects of commerce streams.
So now all options you have it totally depend on you that what path you want to select.

BBA - Bachelor of Business Administration

BCA - Bachelor of Computer Application

BBA & BCA are both under graduate course of 3 years duration consisting of 3 years duration. After completing Diploma Information technology you can apply for any of the courses, but it will be better if you choose BCA because of the fact that it is related to computers.

The basic eligibility for doing BCA is that candidate should have completed +2 from a recognized school board with mathematics as subject. In the case of yours you have completed Diploma which is equivalent to that of +2 which makes you eligible for joining.

Some of the top colleges where you can prefer doing BCA course are:
  • Christ University
  • SRM University
  • Institute of Management Studies
  • Madras Christian College
  • Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studaies & Research
  • Birla Institute of Technology
  • Presidency College
  • University College-Kurukshetra
  • Stella Maris College
  • Xavier Institute of Computer Application
