Re: Which is the best Career Option for me being a Textile Engineer? dear sir/madam, i have just passed 12th exam. i want to join Indian Air force. is there any scope specially for girls? which posts are there for girls? and one more, what is the scope for ETC, ECE, IT, CS in future in India and out of India? |

As a textile engineer you can explore job options in textile companies either in process design or in the chemical field of dyeing and printing. Design and manufacture of textile manufacturing or processing equipment is also an attractive option. Teaching is another career option before you. Bangalore University, Manormaniam Sundaranar University and Annamalai university offer distance courses in textile designing. Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offer 4-year degree courses in Fashion Design (FD), Textile Design (TD) and Fashion Merchandising and Production (FMP) through distance education. With a textile designing qualification, you can seek options as a colour specialist in fabric design. Design studios, export houses, textile mills, textile dyeing and printing units and even fashion designers employ textile designers – on a full-time and freelance basis. As a textile designer one can get into any field – furnishing, interiors or even graphic design or work with a designer or export house. |
