The civil engineering involves designing number of construction works. A civil engineer has to take responsibility to construct large number of construction projects whether it is small bridge or tall building or splendour residential complex. A civil engineer may get job in Government department, Industrial Plants & Building, Public Sector Undertakings, Teaching Institutions, Housing and Urban Development, Power Plants, Real Estate Societies, etc. Indian Railway advertised from time to time for engineering posts such as construction engineer. project engineer, maintenance engineer, section engineer etc. You may even apply for Indian Engineering Services (IES) conducted by UPSC. You may get job Government Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and Government institutions such as NHPC, IOC, ISRO, DRDO, BHEL, HC, etc. Here you are advised to be in regular touch with newspaper of local and national level, employment news and internet for any latest advertisement by State Government, PSU, any Department or Ministry of Union Government, private sector company, teaching institutes etc. |

Yes, you can apply for government jobs after the diploma in civil engineering as now most of the jobs of junior engineer are out as civil engineer and you can join in any department as in - >> water supply >> water resource department >> irrigation department >> in rural development department And for this level jobs after the diploma in civil engineering can apply through. >> Railway recruitment board >> staff selection commission >> in other state departments as junior engineer |

Educational qualification:- Eligible ITI departments are Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wireman/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic. Eligible Diploma departments are Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering. Age criteria:- Minimum age =20 years Maximum age =30 years |
