I have just completed my 12th and want to be an ias officer.. So can I prepare for upsc exam from now or after graduation??

After passing 12th you have to complete your graduation in any of the streams with a recognized college then only you are eligible for IAS exams which is conducted by UPSC.
Acronym of IAS is Indian Administritive Services.
Your age should be not less than 21 yrs and not more than 30 yrs. Age relaxation should be given to only reserved candidates which comes under sc/st, OBC. And most important thing is that you must be an Indian.
Exams are taken in three phases:-
Preliminary
Mains
Interview.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

There is no specific studies to purse after 12th to become an IAS officer as the academic qualification is Graduation in any stream. So the studies you choose after 12th must be a comfortable studies for you.

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is the toughest examination of the India which is comducted by the UPSC every year.
As,you have non-medical stream in your 12th standord you can go for any course like BSc.,BTech etc.
Eligibilty:
To be eligible to appear in IAS,the candidate must have bachelor's degree in any discipline from the recognised university of India.
Age limit:
The minimum age is: 21 years.
The maximum age is:
General category :32 years with only 6 attempts.
Sc/St: 37 years with unlimited attempts.
Obc: 35 years with 9 attempts.
PWD:
General category: 42 years with 9 attempts.
OBC: 45 years with unlimited attempts.
Sc/St: 47 years with unlimited attempts.

first of all congrats to you becaure you choosen a very important . The first think that you have to do is you should complete any degree. While doing the degree you should have to work to improve your knowledge in current affairs and more about the history of india.this can help you to solve most question . This have more physical fitness and mental fitness.

Eligibilty criteria to become IAS officer :-
-> Successful completion of graduation from any recognized university .
-> Age limit 23-35 years .
-> Should be a citizen of India .
* As you completed your 12th right now, first choose any graduation course as per your interest .
IAS:- Indian Administrative Service
It was conducted by UPSC .
UPSC :- Union Public Service Commission .
-> To crack IAS , concentrate on following * General awareness
* Aptitude
* English grammar
* current affairs .

You can pursue any graduation.It is not specifically for any graduation course.The eligibility criteria is that the candidate should be graduate,thats it.So you can go for any course in which you are interested in.

I have secured 90% in class 12th .My family wants that I should drop ,become a doctor & then think of becoming an IAS officer ,but I don't want to drop to be something I don't want to . What should I do ? Please suggest !!!!!!

To become an IAS(Indian Administrative Officer), one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

After 12th you should first complete Graduation in any stream in order to be eligible for Civil Service Exam.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The selection is through three stages:-

-CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

A candidate should be chose any discipline in 12th standard any discipline in graduation are eligible for IAS exam, which is conducted under the Union Public Service Commission.


Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should have to complete graduation or any equivalent degree from a recognised university.

No percentage is required to appear this exam, you can appear at any percentage.

You must be an Indian origin.

Age details:-


-->Minimum age limit is 21 years,

-->Maximum age limit is 30years,

-->Relaxation of 3 years for OBC category candidates,

-->Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category candiates.


Selection stages:-

***Civil Services Preliminary exam,

***Civil Services Mains exam,

***Personal interview.


Number of attempts for candidates is given below:-

4 times for General candidates,

7 times for OBC candidates,

For SC/ST category candidates has no limit, so many times they can appear this exam.

You can choose any field for your graduation as the candidate hold graduation degree for the exam and it doesn't matter which sub.You can choose those in which you are interested.

AS you are interested to became IAS officer for this you have to appear Civil Service Exam which is conducted through UPSC every year.

The eligibility criteria for this exam..

i have chosen computer science group( it includes compsci,phy,chem,maths)in my 11th,what should i pursue after my 12th std to become an ias officer?
