Aeronautical Engineering Branch 2. Flying Branch 3. Ground Duty Branch To be a National Defence Academy (NDA) : You ca join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public service commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India. Eligibility Criteria :------------ Age : 16.5 to 19 years Nationality : Indian Gender : Male only Education Qualification: 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. NDA stands for National Defense Academy.It has three wings; Indian Military Academy. Indian Naval Academy. Indian Air Force Academy. The criteria which has to be fulfilled to get admission in NDA are following:- -The candidate has to clear the entrance exam conducted by UPSC. UPSC conducts this exam twice a year with the name;NDA I and NDA II -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19 years. -Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam. -The qualification required to join NDA is 12th class of 10+2 education system from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. -The selection process involves written examination followed by personal interview by Service Selection Board. -The candidate should be physically fit as per the Physical Standards required to join NDA. -The minimum height for a NDA candidate to join Indian Army should not be less than 157 cm. |

Re: How to join Indian Air Force after passing 9th standard You can not join air force after 9th standard. you may not join NDA after your class 10th, it is needed to have a student to be 12th passed or appearing to apply for NDA. you should have 12th appearing atleast to apply for NDA , and must be having math if applying for army and should have math and phy. both if applying for air force\navy.. you must complete your 11th and you may apply for NDA II after completing your 11th in class 12th. |

Re: How to join Indian Air Force after passing 9th standard Definitely you can go for the Indian Airforce but for this you first have to complete your + 2 successfully. NDA National Defence Academy is an entrance exam by which you can go for the following three wings:- Indian Air Force. Indian Army. Indian Navy. NDA entrance exam conducted twice in a year by the UPSC. To be eligible for this exam, it is must to have a successfully passed out + 2 course from a recognised board with good percentile. Also the appearing aspirants must have their age between 16.5 to 19 years. So you have to complete your + 2 in any stream from recognised board with good % so that you can we completely eligible for this exam. |

As an Officer you have opportunities in- Flying Branch - consists Fighter Pilot, Transport Pilot and Helicopter Pilot , Nevigator Technical Branch - consists all engineering section Ground Branch - includes all the departments that provide logistical, meteorological, educational and administrative support to the above mentioned branches For applying to the Flying branch you need to be 12th pass and for rest two -engineer or post graduate. Engineers can also apply for Flying Branch. As Airman you need to be 10th, 12th, graduation or post graduate degree holder in your technical or non-technical trade fields. You should also maintain good physical and mental fitness. You need to appear in NDA OR CDSE entrance exam to join Air Force. Hope above information is somewhat useful to you. |
