There are three round in IPS exam. 1.Preliminary Exam 2. Mains Exam 3. Interview Educational qualification:- One should hold a degree of any recognized universitiy. He/She should be an Indian. Those who are in final year of graduation or have passed graduation, can apply for the exam. The graduation degree in any stream from a recognized college is applicable. Re: Can I give IPS exam after completing Computer Science and Engineering? yes,ofcourse you can give IPS exam.as you have completed your UG degree.the requirments needed for giving IPS exam or the eligiblities you can call it are as follows 1.any UG degree. 2.age required is in between 21 to 30 years. there are more then 4 attempts for OBC and general category students and for SC/ST there are more than 8 attempts. |

Yes definitely, you are eligible to apply for IPS examination. To become a IPS officier, you have to passed in your graduation, because graduation is the minimum eligiblity to apply for IPS Examinatio. The IPS Examination was conducted by UPSC Called Civil Services Examination. And to apply for this exam, your age should between 21 to 30 years. Degree of a recognised University or equivalent is the minimum eligiblity to apply for IPS Examination. And any final year appearing candiadtes are also eligible to apply for IPS examination. So, you are eligible to apply for IPS examination, if you are completed your Graduation degree or you are aon final year of your course. But, you can not apply for this examination because the dates are already over. And the entrance exam for this year are going to be held on 12/June/2011. Re: Can I give IPS exam after completing Computer Science and Engineering? yeah definitely ... as the IPS is a civil service which is highly reputed and also have a good status in the society.. any degree candidate is eligible for this its better if you know the minimum eligibility criterion..of CIvils The main basic eligibility criteria for Civils Service Examination ->Candidate must have 21 years of age ->Candidate must complete at least degree from a recognized Indian University this is all about the basic eligibility criteria of CSE As per your qualification if you have completed Degree then definitely you are eligible for the exam.. Yes you are eligible for appearing into the IPS exam after completion of Engineering. every graduate candidate from any discipline is eligible for appearing to the IPS exam. the Age limit should be 21-30 for general candidates and 21-35 for sc/st. The number of attempt for general candidates is 4 and no limit of attempt for SC/ST candidates. |

If you are a graduate and within the age limit of 21-30 years, you are eligible for the exam, no matter which stream of study you belong to. If you belong to SC/ST category, you will be eligible upto the age of 35 years and if you belong to OBC category, you will be eligible upto 33 years. To apply for the exam, you may either obtain the application form from your designated pot office/head post office or you may apply online through www.upsconline.nic.in. But computer science and engineering can't apply for government exams like IPS. So you won't be able to give IPS exam after computer science and engineering |

To be eligible for UPSC exam you must be a graduate or in final year. So as far your education qualification is concerned you are eligible for becoming an IPS officer. |
