Re: Minimum age required to register for 10th examination?

Generally it is must to have the age 14 years to be eligible for the SSC 10th exam. But since your son is 12 years old and in class 10th so you can contact to the principal of the school. If they can do in this then they will definitely do.

Each state board have the different criteria for age limit. Most of the board does not force on the age.But Board like CBSE, ICSC has the minimum age limit is 14 years required.

Re: Minimum age required to register for 10th examination?

CBSE stands for Central Board OF Secondary Education. Age limit required to appear for 10th board examination in CBSE Board is must be in between14 to 15 years. There is no upper age limit.

Well Age Limit in case of Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) doe appearing in 10th board will be as per the guidelines of Council for The Indian School Certificate Examination. There is no age limit to write the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination.

As your son is of 12 years old there will be some difficulties but you should talk with your school principal , because to take admission in school the candidates should be a minimum of age 4 - 5 years not below than it.

Re: Minimum age required to register for 10th examination?

Yes definitely there is a problem with the age for 10th. Since coming to the age criteria for SSC will vary from CBSE and ICSE course.

But you should satisfy the Age criteria for any type of Board examination.

For ICSE board exam : 14 years is the age limit

For CBSE Board Exam : 14 is minimum and 16 years is the maximum age.

And it will vary from type of board in various states.Hope you understand the criteria for it.

Re: Minimum age required to register for 10th examination?

No, there will be no problem regarding the age issue as there is no limitation on the age criteria to appear for the board examination by the different recognised board.

So he can appear in the 10th board examination without any hinder. The required qualification to appear for the 10th board examination is the candidates must have passed the 9th and pursuing the 10th.

Re: Minimum age required to register for 10th examination?

Your son will not be eligible to apply for 10th exam at an age of 12 years only because the minimum age limit to aply for the exam is 14 years .

The candidate must have completed 14 years of age as on or before 31st December 2015 to appear for CBSE 10th exam in 2016 .There is no age limitation for the CBSE 10th Board exam as it is the necessary educational class .

For more details, you can visit official website of CBSE i.e., www.cbse.nic.in
