Yes the Medical Council of India ( MCI ) has decided to conduct a single common medical entrance examination for admissions in any government medical college. But this proposal is yet to be approved by Health Ministry of India whose approval is needed for the must for the conduction of common entrance examination. So at this stage it cannot exactly said that whether the common entrance examination is going to be held for 2016 or thereafter. Also no information about the eligibility criteria, pattern of examination, etc. has been released yet. So you have to wait for few more days until the final decision is made be the Health Ministry. For updates you must read the newspapers and official website of your state PMT or AIPMT. |

No, there is nothing like this as even now most of the state government conducts the PMT examination for the admission in the medical courses in their institutes. But there are some of the state/university in which the admission is through the AIPMT examination conducted for the admission in the medical courses. So to get the information for the state/university under the list visit at the www.aipmt.nic.in. |

Is state PMT going to be replaced by national PMT from 2016? There was a news during these days that the state entrance exams are going to be replaced by a national entrance exam (neet) from 2016? Is it true??? |
