CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and as the name suggests it is an entrance examination held for admissions in 16 National Law Universities of India. The examination is conducted by different NLU's following a rotation policy. The key dates for CLAT 2016 has not been yet announced officially but as per the trends followed you can expect the application form for CLAT 2016 to be available from the very first day of January 2016 and lasting till the last date of March 2016. Also you can expect the examination to be held in first half of May 2016. The qualification required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :- * Nationality and Age limit :- You must have the nationality of India with your age not exceeding 20 years by the 1st July of that year in which you are appearing in the same examination. In case if you belong to SC/ST or PH category then your age must be below 22 years instead of 20 years as there is provision of age relaxation of 2 years for these categories. * Educational qualification :- For the UG course i.e; LLB ( Bachelor of Legislative law ) you must have completed your higher secondary degree or any other degree equivalent to same with at least 45% aggregate from a recognized institute. For SC/ST or PH category candidates there is provision of marks relaxation of 5%. For the PG course i.e; LLM ( Master of Legislative law ) you must have bachelor of legislative law degree with at least 55% aggregate from a recognized university. For SC/ST and PH category candidates there is provision of marks relaxation of 5%. Re: Last date for filling form of CLAT 2016? CLAT is the Common Law Admission Test. A candidate willing to pursue bachelor's degree in law from a top law university of India can apply for this exam. This exam is held every year once. Any candidate who has done 10+2 or appearing for 10+2 can apply for the CLAT exam conducted by National law university of India. Minimum percentage of marks in 10+2 is 45% for general and OBC candidate and 40% for SC/ST candidates. The CLAT 2016 notification is not yet released. So wait for the notification. CLAT stands for the Common Law Admission Test and it is the entrance examination conducted by the one of the 16 NLU in India for the admission in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The application form for the 2016 examination is not released yet. So you have to keep visiting the official website for the notification for the examination. The examination is conducted as a written stages and contains the questions of the General Knowledge, Mathematics,English and Reasoning. The candidates have to qualify in the examination for the final selection. The eligibility to appear for the examination is :- * Candidates must have passed the 10+2 from the recognised board with at least 45% aggregate. * Candidates must have the age less than 20 years as on 1st July for the open category. for more information about the examination visit at the www.clat.ac.in. |

CLAT 2016 Important Tentative Dates - Availability of application forms : from 1st week of January 2016. - Last date of online application form : Last week of March 2016. - Downloading of admit card : From mid April 2016. - Examination Date: 1 to 2nd week of May 2016. - Result : 3rd to 4th week of May 2016. - Admission Process : 1st week of July 2016. Eligibility for UG course : Candidates needs to complete his/her 10+2 examination with minimum 45% from recognized board in any discipline. Age : Candidates age should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July, 2016 (22 years in case of reserved category). Syllabus for CLAT 2016 Questions will be based on these following topics: ** Reasoning. ** Legal Aptitude. ** English and Comprehension. ** Elementary Mathematics. ** General knowledge and current affairs. The duration of the exam is for 2 hours. Paper will consist of 200 multiple answer type questions. Each question will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking also for each wrong answer. To be eligible for this exam, candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board with at least 45% for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit for general and OBC candidate is 20 years and for SC/ST candidates is 22 years on 1st July of year of examination. The notification for the CLAT 2016 is not yet released and it is generally released in the month of December. So for latest updates about CLAT 2016, keep visiting www.clat.ac.in at regular intervals. |
