Re: What is the procedure followed to get admission in B.Tech after completion of diploma course? You can get admission in engineering after diploma course by using LEET entry scheme. LEET stands for Lateral Entry Engineering Test which is conducted for diploma holders who want to get admission in B.Tech By using this scheme you will get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course directly. This exam is conducted in two Phase i.e. General exam & Professional exam. General exam is consist of multiple choice question's which are asked from subject like Science, Mathematics, Social Science, English etc. Professional exam is consist to MCQ's which are asked from subjects which you have read during diploma course. |

You can enter directly in the 2nd year of B. Tech by lateral entry scheme but few colleges offer this scheme. OR You can appear for Joint Entrance test for admission to various Engineering Colleges. After qualifying the exam, in the basis of merit list, you can get admission . |

To get the admission you have to appear and qualify in the LEET examination. LEET stands for the Lateral Entry Entrance Test and it is the conducted by the different university for the admission in their own courses in the 2nd year. There are two entrance exams for which a diploma candidates can appear in order to get admission in bachelor of technology course for better career and job opportunities. >>One of the most important exam is Joint Entrance Exam mains for admission in B.Tech in top institutes like NITs and other government engineering college. The notification for the JEE 2016 will be released soon and is expected to be out in first week of November. >>The second exam is Lateral Entry Entrance test conducted exclusively for the diploma candidates to get direct admission in second year of engineering. Minimum of 60% marks in diploma is required to appear for this exam. Forms for this exam is generally out in the month of May every year. |

To get the admission in the B.tech courses the candidates have to qualify in the LEET examination conducted by the different university for the admission in the 2nd year B.Tech courses. To get admission in BTech after completing diploma,you can get admission in 2nd directly in any private college through LEET(i.e. direct entry scheme) or if you want to take admission in top colleges of India like IIT's,NIT's,IIIT's then you have to give entrance examination JEE-main. After qualifying the exam you will get admission in 1st year of BTech. |
