Re: How can I go for Astrophysics after 12th science You can go for Astrophysics right after completing 12th in Physics with minimum 50% marks. After passing 12th standard you can get admission in B.Sc in Astrophysics.You will have to appear entrance exam because some universities take entrance exam . B.Sc in Astrophysics is a 3 years full time course .There is a great opportunities after doing B.Sc in Astrophysics .You can join ISRo,NASA etc. You can also do further studies like M.Sc is a 2 years full time course.You can also go for teaching profession in this field. |

It is located in "II Block, Kormangala, Bangalore - 560034". At IIA, Bangalore, you can pursue: PhD. jointly with Pondicherry Central University Integrated MTech - PhD. jointly with University of Calcutta To get admission in IIA, Bangalore you will have to qualify IIAST. IIAST will be commenced on 12th December, 2015. However, last date to apply for IIAST is 20 November 2015. Admission is based on merit list prepared after results of IIAST. Neither any university nor any institute provide any undergraduate course in astrophysics & astronomy. # Only few handful universities provides postgraduate degree in astrophysics & astronomy for those candidates who have done either B.Sc.
