Sir, I have done graduation in Hospitality and Hotel Administration (BHM) and currently working in a PSU related to catering and tourism sector, my question is, am I eligible for the all india or any state level entrance exam for food inspector? Kindly guide me. |

Re: When is the All India Food Inspector exam? Hi friend To become a food inspector you need to write the food inspector exam conducted by UPSC. You are eligible for it. The exam this year is over and you have to wait for next exam in 2012. ELIGIBILITY: 1. A gradaute in engineering in any discipline. Since biotech is one of them you are eligible. 2.You must be aged between 21 and 30. Upper age limit is 33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST. 3.You must be an Indian citizen. The test consists of a written exam and an interview. The written paper is of 5 papers. Paper I: General awareness , aptitude ,English Paper II And III: Objective Questions from engineering Paper IV and V: Subjective Questions from engineering |

DETAILS ABOUT FOOD INSPECTOR EXAM Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:- Food inspector examination is conducted by UPSC as well state Public service commission. The main function of food inspector is to Examine the food quality and quantity in various industries/hotels/organization and etc You must be a graduate in Medicine. Or Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject or A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology. AGE CRITERIA:- Candidates age must lie between 21 years to 35 years as on July 1st 2012 Upper age Relaxation is provided to candidate belonging to Reservation category. You must also have at-least one month training in Food inspection and sampling work approved by the Central Government or State Government. QUESTION PAPER DETAILS:- It comprises of questions on following topics - technical related question science subjects numerical ability GK questions English language test NOTE - It also consist of negative marking for incorrect answers.
