Re: Am I eligible for Specialists Officer post of IBPS? In specialist officer post HR and marketing whether Aeronautical Engineering are eligible? And also there are asking graduate? I was confused whether I am eligible or not? |

Re: Am I eligible for Specialists Officer post of IBPS? IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Every year IBPS announces a notification for the recruitment of following specialist officer positions on behalf of all the public sector banks -IT Officers -Law Officer -Agricultural Field Officer -HR/Personnel Officer -Rajbhasha Adhikari -Marketing Officer Out of all these positions, Engineering candidates can apply for IT officer positions. But the thing is only few streams of Engineering candidates are eligible for these positions. Candidates should have completed Engineering and Computer Science / Computer Applications / Electronics and Communication / Electronics and Instrumentation / Electronics and Telecommunication / Information Technology to apply for IT officers positions. Unfortunately Aeronautical Engineering is not listed as a eligible academic course and hence you are not eligible to apply for IBPS Exam for Specialist Officers positions. However, you are eligible to apply for IBPS PO Positions. Below is the eligibility criteria for the same. -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized college. As per age criteria, -Candidates of General category should be in the age group of 20-30 years to be eligible to apply for this exam. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and relaxation upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category. In addition, the nationality of the candidate should be India. The selection process includes Preliminary Exam Main Exam Interview Since IBPS Common Written Exam is the only way to get into public sector banks, there is a heavy competition for this exam and hence you should score good marks in the written exam to get selected for Interview. Please keep in this in your mind and have your preparation. |

Only candidates from Electronics and communication, computer science engineering, Information technology, Telecommunication engineering are eligible for IT officer Scale I. |
