Can I write upsc in the 3rd year of btech if I have completed 21 years of age on Aug 1st of that year but still pursuing third year btech?

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission.

Sorry to say that having B.Tech 3rd year student you are not eligible to write this exam.

First of all you should clear your graduation then only you are eligible to write this exam.

Eligibility criteria for UPSC are as under:-

Candidate age must be 21 to 32 years.

Age relaxation of 3 years is given to obc and 5 years relaxation is given to sc/st candidates.

Total number of attempts for general category is 5 times.

For obc its about 9 times.

For sc/st it is unlimited.

No, 3rd year student of B.Tech course are not eligible for UPSC exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for Civil Service UPSC exam.

Age Criteria:

For General: 21 to 32 years
For OBC: 21 to 35 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 37 years

No. of Attempts:

For General: 5
For OBC: 9
For SC/ST: No Restriction

Selection process for Civil Service exam:

1)Preliminary test
2)Mains exam
3)Personal interview

UPSC is the Union Public Service Commission which conducts the examinations for the selection of candidates in to various public services,and some of the various public services examinations which will be conducted by the UPSC are
  1. Civil Services
  2. Indian Forest Services
  3. Engineering Services
  4. Geologist Examinations
  5. Special class railway apprentices
  6. National Defense Services
  7. Combined Defense Services
  8. Combined Medical services
  9. Indian Economic Services
  10. Section officers | Stenographers
  11. Central Police Services
These are the various examination which are conducted by the UPSC board.and as you are in the 3rd year of the B.Tech you can not apply now for the examinations and you must be in the 4th year last semester or should have completed you b.tech in order to appear for the various examinations and as a B.Tech IT graduate you can apply for the
  • Civil Services
  • CDS

For these services you must have completed your B.Tech or should be in the finale year of the graduation and then only appear for the examination of UPSC.

You are not eligible to apply for UPSC exam being third year candidate. You are eligible to apply, after completing degree course. So, concentrate on you are studies.

No.You are not eligible for UPSC Exams such as IAS , IFS , IES , IPS , CDS etc.For these exams , You must have passed graduation & your age must be between 21 to 32 years.

- Submit the application
- Note registration number obtained on completion of registration.

Except NDA and Indian Economics Services, in most of Union Public Service Commission exams, eligibility criteria is graduation from a recognized university.

Final year candidates are also allowed to appear in exam if their university gives degree on specified date.

You can not apply while pursuing third year of Information Technology. You can apply for exam next year.

There are various entrance exams conducted by Union Public Service Commission like:

>>Civil Services examination.

>>Combined Defence Services exam.

>>Central Armed Police Force exam.

>>Indian Forest Services exam etc.

No, being a pre final year candidate, you are not eligible to apply for UPSC exams. Either candidates who have done bachelor's degree or pursuing final year of bachelor's degree can apply for these exam.
