The acronym CA stands for Chartered Accountancy course.

Examination conducting authority: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Different stages of this course:

1. Common Proficiency Test: Minimum qualification is 10+2.

2. Integrated Professional Competence Course.

B.com candidates can apply for IPCC stage directly if they have 55% marks in graduation else they need to appear for CPT.

Re: Can I apply for CA if passed B.Com in second attempt? Way to do CA?

You are directly eligible for Integrated Professional Competence course after bachelor's degree in commerce because B.COM/M.COM candidates securing 55% or more are eligible for direct entry to IPCC.

For non commerce stream candidates, it is 60% or more. Candidate who does not meet this criteria have to apply for CPT which is first stage of this course.

No matter whether you have passed graduation in second or first time, you can apply for Chartered accountancy course.

Re: Can I apply for CA if passed B.Com in second attempt? Way to do CA?

The procedure to apply for CA (chartered accounting) is clear the common proficiency test (CPT). This exam can be given after completing graduation.
However there is provision under which graduates do not have to appear for the common proficiency test. They are given exemption from appearing for the written test and instead they are allowed to apply for the UPCC which is 2nd stage of the chartered Accountancy.

Percentage criteria.
At least 55% marks for commerce graduates and 60% for others.

You have to appear in common proficiency test(CPT),this exam can be given after completing 12th or graduation. However there is provision under which graduates do not have to appear for the CPT. Instead they are allowed to apply for the IPCC which is 2nd stage of chartered Accountancy.

At least 55% marks for commerce graduates and 60% for others is the required percentage.

1. As per latest rules and regulations of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, candidates of bachelor's degree or master's degree can directly apply for second stage of Chartered Accountancy which is IPCC.

2. But for this direct entry, minimum of 55% marks in graduation is needed. Otherwise, a candidate will have to first appear and clear Common Proficiency Test to enroll in Chartered Accountancy course.

You can apply for any of stage mentioned above as per you percentage of marks.

CA is Chartered Accountancy course. This is one of the best career option for commerce stream candidates either at 10+2 level or graduate level.

This course has three stages:

*Common Proficiency Test.

*Integrated Professional Competence Course.

*Final course.

Candidates who score 55% or more in bachelor's degree in commerce are eligible for direct IPCC stage but those who have less than 55% will have to appear for Common Proficiency Test.

You have not mentioned your percentage, so it is tough to tell whether you are eligible for CPT or IPCC. You can apply for both exams even if you have passed bachelor's degree in commerce in second attempt.
