Your lens power is -2 and -1.5, so definitely you will be rejected in NDA medical entrance test after Service Selection Board. In this test , a candidate must fulfill criteria 6/6 eyes for passing this test and lens power in negative is not allowed. So, you will be rejected even if you clear all the days of SSB. Medical test is conducted in technical line also. |

Re: Am I eligible for NDA medical test clearance having a weak eye sight? Will I be provided any technical line job? NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA examination is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year for recruitment in Indian Navy, Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Naval Academy. Eligibility to appear in NDA are -Candidate must be citizen of India. -Candidate must have passed 12th board examination from a recognized board in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum of 60% marks. -Candidates appearing in 12th board examination with the same subject -Candidate must be of age 16.5-19 years. After qualifying written examination, there will we interview of 5 days which includes medical as well as personal interview. You will not be able to qualify in the interview because of your weak eye sight as the candidates need to have eye sight 6/6 without wearing spectacles. |

For getting any job under any wing of Defence like Army, Navy, Air Force through NDA exam, a candidate must crack written test and Service Selection Board. Service Selection Board of this exam has medical examination as last stage of recruitment . Many candidates are rejected in medical examination due to not meeting required criteria for medical examination. You have very weak vision and lens power in negative, so there is hardly any possibility for you to armed forces. They require 6/6 eyes. Either it is technical line or civil, medical examination is conducted in both stages. |

Am I eligible for NDA medical test clearance having a weak eye sight? Will I be provided any technical line job? Sir/madam I have weak vision and my lens power is -2& -1.5 , will I become eligible for NDA medical test clearance? Sir did NDA provides us technical line in these service wings? |
