# Best way to become an Income Tax Officer is to qualify the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year.

# Though the above mentioned Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE) is conducted for filling up of various posts including Income Tax Officer.

# Required educational qualification:

* Graduation in any discipline.
* Graduation in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics etc required for few specific posts.

# Age limit prescribed for this examination:

* 18-27 years for General category
* 18-30 years for OBC category
* 18-32 years for SC/ST category
* 18-37 years for Physically Handicapped category

# Scheme of examination:
* Tier-I Examination
* Tier-II Examination
* Skill Test or Interview

# Detailed pattern of Tier-I Examination:
* General English (total 50 questions & total 50 marks)
* General Studies (total 50 questions & total 50 marks)
* Reasoning Ability (total 50 questions & total 50 marks)
* Quantitative Aptitude (total 50 questions & total 50 marks)

Necessary requirements and elegibility criteria for tax inspector is-

>> To be a applicant for this post you must have graduation in any stream from any recognozed universiy.

>> Candidate have to be passed in the SSC CGL exam and be in the merit list because limited seats are available for this post.

>> Age should be 18-27 and a 3 years relaxation for the obc and 5 years for Sc/St and physical disable candidates is reserved.

Note- Exam is conducted every year by staff selection commission of India.
