Age limit should be in between 18 to 27 years and relaxation of 3 years is given to OBC candidates, 5 years to SC /ST candidates and 10 years to physically handicapped candidates. The minimum qualification required to join Income Tax Department is bachelor degree from recognised University with at least 50 percent and 45% for reserved categories. Minimum age should not be less than 18 and upper age limit should not exceed 27 years depending upon the post you are applying for. You have to appear in the exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the Graduate Level Examination for recruitment for various posts like inspectors of income tax. |
