Re: What is the eligibility and minimum qualifications for doing MBA?

The MBA stands for Master of Business Adminstration..

In today's corporate world, getting a management degree is crucial for attaining seniormost position in good organizations. Earning a MBA degree not only promises an individual a secure job but also ensures him growth and success in today's job market.

However, if you know which career field you are interested in, selecting a specific MBA programme will allow you to specialise and better prepare yourself for a career.

Much like any other educational institution, the academic content of a business school education does not vary much between programmes. However, experts will tell you that the value of your MBA degree is often directly related to the esteem of the school which grants it. All MBA schools annualy receive rankings from various organisations. These rankings are determined by a variety of factors and can be very useful when choosing a business school or MBA programme.

Note : The Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling.

In case of the candidates being awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence would be based on the equivalence certified by the university/institution from where they have obtained bachelor’s degree.

Re: What is the eligibility and minimum qualifications for doing MBA?

The MBA degree opens up worlds of opportunity for its bearers. Many business positions require an MBA for advancement.

MBA in India

You need to have a bachelor's degree (3-year course) or equivalent in any discipline recognised by any Indian University / AICTE as eligible for post-graduate studies.

You can apply while you are in your final year of graduation. If you do get through the admission test, you will be given provisional admission on the condition that you provide your mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a certain date.

Each institute has a written admission test, either its own test (like XAT for XIMB, SNAP for Symbiosis, etc.) or part of a common test (like CAT conducted by the IIMs) used by several institutes
