Re: How to join Income Tax department in 2016? Yes, you are eligible to appear for recruitment in Income tax after qualifying in Civil Services examination. Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC and candidates have to qualify in all three stages of examination for final recruitment in job. The required eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed graduation degree from recognised university and have age limit between 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. Re: How to join Income Tax department in 2016? You are eligible to join Income tax department after qualifying in entrance examination. To get job you have to appear and qualify in CGL examination. CGL examination is conducted by SSC every year. The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in different jobs. The age limit to appear for examination is 18-27 years. The best gateway to join Income Tax Department at bachelor's degree level is through Combined Graduate Level exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission. SSC conducts CGL exam for different posts under Central government and Income tax department comes under that. The eligibility criteria for this exam is bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Though final year candidates are also allowed to appear for exam. The age limit for exam is 18-27 years. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for candidates of reserved category. You can apply for this exam at official website of SSC http://www.ssconline.nic.in. The last date for SSC CGL 2016 application is 10th of March. |

Age Limit Your age must be between 18 to 25 years on 1st July of the examination year. Physical Standards - Height : Atleast 157.5 cms for Men & 152 cms for women. - Chest : Atleast 81 cms for Men - Walking : 1.6 kms. in 15 mins. For men & 1 km in 20 mins. Re: How to join Income Tax department in 2016? In order to join Income Tax Department after bachelor's degree, you must apply for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination. The eligibility criteria for this exam is that candidate must have completed bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. As you have completed your graduation, you are eligible for course. The age limit for SSC CGL exam for majority of posts is 18-27 years. For Sub Inspector in CBI it is 20-30 years. Upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category. There are three stages of this exam. First stage is Tier I exam then Tier II and last is interview. You can apply for SSC CGL 2016 at official website of SSC www.ssconline.nic.in. Last date to apply is 10th March. |
