Re: Are diploma holders eligible for AIEEE? Yes bro you are definately eligible for AIEEE. But there are few conditions which I think you should consider before appearing for it. If you answer AIEEE you wont be admitted to directly 2nd year unlike where other college(state ones and private) allow the diploma students to go to direct 2nd year So think about it. However you are eligible for AIEEE and you can appear for the exam and you will be admitted to 1st year not 2nd year. But I think 1 year here and there is ok if you are getting into top institutes of India |

yes you are eligible for giving the aieee exam. all the diploma holders are eligible for aieee and iit jee entrance exams. but if a diploma holder gives these entrance exams, then he will not be able to take lateral entry admission in second year of b.tech. he will have to take admission in first year only. for getting admission through lateral entry, there are different entrance exams like there is leet for haryana students. |

Re: Are diploma holders eligible for AIEEE? Hello friend ! Why to apply for AIEEE, diploma holders can get direct admissions in 2nd year through LEET. Previously 10% of the seats were availble for diploma holders but this year onwards the seats may be increased to 20% & so lot of seats will be availble in good institutes. |

Re: Are diploma holders eligible for AIEEE? Yes you are eligible to for AIEEE but unlike other colleges where diploma holders are directly get admission to 2nd year of B.Tech colleges but through AIEEE into IIT and NIT you will be going to 1st year instead of 2nd year. |

AIEEE ELIGIBILITY : The candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear. Candidates appearing in 10+2 in 2012 or passed in 2008 or before are not eligible to appear in AIEEE 2011. Diploma holder from a recognized institute are also eligible .But you will get admission in 1st year not in 2 nd yeaR. To get admission to 2 nd year you have to appear for LEET exam. |

To apply for AIEEE Examination, one must have completed 3 years Diploma Eng course, recognised by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education. Diploma holders will get admission directly into 2nd year. If a student scores good rank in AIEEE Examination, then he will get admission in top colleges. If you get good score,you will be getting admission in top Engineering colleges.Only disadvantage is that,you have to continue studies from first years,were as compare with normal colleges,they will be allowing diploma candidates to sit in 2nd year directly. |

Yes if your a Diploma holder then definitely you can attempt for AIEEE,but you will be joined in the first year of Engineering instead of 2nd year because you will get selected in top colleges like NIT's. You can even attempt for your respective state CET,which allows you a direct entry to the 2nd year. all the best. |
