Re: Which is the best IIT college for engineering? People say that this IIT is best because of infrastructure or that IIT is best because of placements are all missing the point. The thing that separates IIT's from other institutes is the level of the students there, especially the UG's. Since you meet lots of brilliant students in 4 years, the IIT experience is sure to enrich you. There is nothing special about the academic programmes in the IIT's- its only the level of the students that matters. In that respect, IIT Bombay is the best by a long,long margin. People from this institute are successful in all walks of life. (If you have alumni like the dean of Harvard-Nitin Nohria or Nandan Nilekani, you've gotta be a special place.) |

In these IITs you can not judge their suprimacy because all are great and everybody have their own excellence in study , teaching and research. I think in this session IIT Roorkee may be best. More details you can get from:http://www.iitfoundation.org Admission process:: In general the you have to sit in GATE exam.GATE is one of the toughest exam ever,for this exam you have to prepare properly. in general,the form of the gate exam is released in the end weak of September or 1st weak of October in each year. The GATE exam is held on in the mid or last of February each year. you can fill the form online or offline, for online form you have to download the form from the official website:www.gate.iitb.ac.in, otherwise,you can get the form from the nearer bank like Canara or SBI or any other banks,it may very,for that you should check the the update from www.gate.iitb.ac.in. The minimum requirement of ranking will be not more than 10000 all india ranking in AIEEE and 1000 in state ranking. good luck!!!!!! |
