Hello Krishna, First of all, a very heartly congratulations on behalf of all the Entrance Exam forum members for securing such a good marks in both JEE MAINS as well as in the Higher Secondary Level Examination. For your sake, I wanna tell you that the cut-off marks for candidates to appear in the JEE-Advanced 2015 is 105 for the candidates belonging to General Category. And as you have mentioned, that you have secured 130 marks in JEE MAINS and got an excellent 96.40% marks in 12th board, you`re surely gonna get admission in the National Institutes of Technology [NITs]. You just need to look for the counselling dates to see yourself get enrolled in one of the NITs. This is the information I have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Your performance in the JEE mains along with your 10+2 board exams result will decide whether you will be able to get Government engineering colleges like National Institute of Technology or not. JEE Advanced performance and rank obtained helps in getting top institutes of India that is Indian Institute of Technology for undergraduate courses in Engineering. The cut off marks for the general category students for JEE Mains 2015 is 105. As you have mentioned that you have secured 130 marks and 96.40% marks in board exams, you probability of getting admission in National institute of technology is fairly high. So, definitely you will get a seat in any of the National Institute of Technology. You need to wait for counselling dates and procedure for further updates. |

Honestly speaking you have secured better percentage of marks in 10+2 board exams but you have very less marks in Joint Entrance Exam Mains. So there is very less possibility of getting any seat in National Institute of Technology for undergraduate courses in technology. As you are from general category, the minimum cut off will be above 200 in JEE Mains. |

Re: Can I get a seat in NIT with 130 marks in JEE Main 2015? No, you can't get seat in NIT with just 130 marks in JEE main 2015. You must have secured more than 140 marks to get admission in any NIT. And with 140 also you will not get desired branch. To get admission in top NITs with desired branch you must have secured more tan 170 marks. |
