JEE Main and Advanced examinations are National level entrance examinations which are conducted for offering admissions to Undergraduate engineering courses at NITs, IIITs, IITs and CFTIs in India. Candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a Government rceognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination and candidates who have qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank among all categories in JEE Main examination are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination. When to Apply ? The notification for JEE Main 2017 examination will be released in the month of November or December, 2016 and you can apply for JEE Main 2017 examination at JEE Main official website www.jeemain.nic.in once, the notification has released and application process starts. The online application form submission ends in the last week of December, 2016. The exact dates can be known once, the notification has released. The notification for JEE Advanced 2017 examination will be released in the last week of April, 2017 and you can apply for JEE Advanced 2017 examination at JEE Advanced official website ww.jeeadv.ac.in only if you have qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main 2017 examination. The online application form submission process ends in the first week of May, 2017. You can the exact dates of JEE Main and Advanced 2107 examinations once, the notifications are released by CBSE. |

Re: When to apply for JEE Main and Advanced 2017? If he is appearing for 10+2 board examination in 2017, then he is eligible to appear for JEE examination in 2017. JEE examination is conducted in two stages as Main and Advance and eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board. Candidate must have PCB/PCM as main paper. The number of attempts for Main examination is three while for Advance examination in two. |

Re: When to apply for JEE Main and Advanced 2017? Your son can appear for JEE Main 2017 while appearing for 12th board exams 2017. JEE exam is conducted by CBSE Board for admissions in Under graduate engineering/ architecture courses in NITs, IITs. One needs to clear JEE Main exam of the same year to become eligible for JEE Advanced exam of that year. Eligibility criteria for JEE exam 2017:- -must have passed 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science / Bio-technology as optional subjects. -should have secured with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 12th board exam. -must have passed 12th class or equivalent in the year 2015 or 2016 or appearing for 12th examination in 2017 . -must have born on or after October 1, 1992 for open category and on or after October 1, 1987 for SC/ST/PwD category. |
