After completing M.tech in Computer Science you have many career option.

#You can go for research work. You Can do P.hd,M.Phil in India or abroad.

#You can join software MNCs like
1.TCS
2.CTS
3.WIPRO
4.IBM
5.INFOSYS
6.MAHINDRA TECH. etc

#You can join as a lecturer in engineering college.

You have lots of doing after doing Aeronautical Engineering course. You can get good package on the basis of this. You can make a career in Air India/Kingfisher/Spice jet as a Maintenance engineer. Also you can join ISRO,DRDO, Civil aviation department etc.

Today IT sector provides many job opportunity to us you can choose a career as a software engineer in many top IT companies like:
IBM,WIPRO,TCS,HONEYWELL,and so on.
And you can also be a lecturer in college.If you want to teach in govt college you should qualify CSIR NET exam conducted by UGC 2 times per year and you can also do phd which will be an added adwantage in your career.

Or you go for jobs likes Lectureships.
or if you go for Company service then you join many software company jobs like
TCS

Google

etc...

I have also done my M.Tech in CSE from NIT Jalandhar and presently working in TCS innovation Lab Pune.
After M.Tech, either you can go for Teaching(an easy way) or go for research job either in Government sector or Private, its upon you and opportunity available.

Either you can join any software companies like IBM,Accenture,TCS,Infosys,Wipro etc.

Or you can apply for the lecturer in any engineering college.

There are so many options for a Mtech engineer.You can get a job easily after mtech and its also easy to get a job in good IT compannies because its have so much value.You can also apply for a teaching in engineering colleges.The qualification will helps you a lot for a job in teaching line.If you can interested in further education then its also a very good step.You can do phD,m-phill.

Myself swaminathan i have completed my m.tech(cse) degree in 2009.
Iam working as lecturer in reputed institution in pondicherry from 2009 DEC to till now.
I want to switch my career as software eng. please suggest me whether i can switch over to it job since two years gone. after completing my m.tech i directly joined as lecturer and i never searched for it jobs

My percentage is
10th(matriculation) - 71% -2001
12th(state board) - 74.08% -2003
B.tech(IT) - 6.37(cg pa) - 2007
M.tech(cse) -73% - 2009

Your CGPA makes eligible for companies like TCS, Infy, and other software companies. But your 10th and 12th percent should also be atleast 60%.

Great as you are in airforce so after your MTech you will again join air force.
After your retirement from air force lot of jobs available for you in govt sector at good posts.
You have to face various public sector exam, but no need to worry as there is a quota for you.

Yes you can do Mtech from IIT but it depands on your ranking and score in gate.
Different IITs have different cutoff and vary according to branches.
Sucess is not a guarentee you for IIT you must score really good rank in the same.

After Mtech in computer science and BSc & Msc in electronics gives you 2 field to enter.
You can go for electronics field in hardcore electronics like manufactureing, design.
You can enter in software field either as tester or development.

After your PG you have lot of options you can enter in govt jobs or private sector. As you are from computer science private sector provide better opportunity for you many MNC prefer Mtech student over BTech.
You can also go for further study in either Phd or MS.
You can enter in the field of Teaching.
