For selection in Crime branch candidates have to qualify in written as well as interview stages. Candidates also have to qualify in physical qualification for final recruitment.

The examination is conducted by SSC as CGL. The examination is conducted once every year.

The examination is conducted in three stages as Tier I, II and interview. Candidates after qualifying in each stage are eligible for next stage.

One who wishes to join crime branch has to appear for SSC CGL exam .

The eligibility criteria required to apply for the exam are as under:-

-The candidate must be a citizen of India.

-The candidate should holds Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized board.

-The candidate age should be in between 20 years to 30 years for general category.Age is relaxed for OBC by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

-The selection process involves of

Written test ,

Skill test ,

Group Discussion, and

Interview.

Exam syllabus :

- General Intelligence & Reasoning

- General Awareness

- Quantitative Aptitude

- English Comprehension

Physical Requirements :

Height :

For men -165 cms.

For women -150 cms

Height relaxable for Hillmen and Tribals: 5cms

Chest : Must not be less than 80 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

Eye sight :

Distant Vision :6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.

Near Vision:0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye

For selection as an officer in Crime branch candidates have to appear in CGL examination.

CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level examination and it is conducted by SSC. The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in various government jobs.

Candidates after qualifying in all stages of examination are eligible for final recruitment. The application form for 2016 is closed and the examination will be conducted in August.

If you want to join Crime Branch, then you have to apply Combined graduate level examination conducted by SSC.

Eligibility Criteria:

You should be graduate in any stream.

Your age should be 20-27 years.

Physical Requirements:

Height for male is 165cms

Height for Female is 150 cms

Chest must be 76 cms

Eye sight must be 6/6 with no color blindness.

Selection Process:

Written Test

Interview

Physical Fitness Test

To join CBI candidates have to appear and qualify in CGL examination. The examination is conducted every year.

The examination is conducted in three stages and have to appear and qualify in all stages for final recruitment.

The application for 2016 examination is released and so you have to wait for next year to get admission. The eligibility to appear to examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university and age limit to appear for examination is 19-27 years with relaxation in age for reserved category.

What is the procedure followed for joining the crime branch? What are the basic eligibility criteria for the same? Who can provide me the information on this? It will be helpful if you can answer me soon as I need to take the suitable decision for the same.
