BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application and BCA degree is a three year ( consisting of six semesters ) undergraduate information technology course which is gaining popularity now a days due to digitalisation process. The basis educational requirement of the same course is a higher secondary school degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate with English as one of the main subjects in the same degree from a recognized board. So, as you are concerned about the compulsion of Mathematics in the same course then it is evident that there is no basis compulsion of any subject apart from English. |

Re: Is Maths a compulsory subject for BCA? BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications. It is a three-year undergraduate degree course in the field of Information Technology. No, Mathematics subject is not mandatory to study BCA course. To be eligible to pursue BCA course, you should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate of 50% marks with English as one of the subject from a Government recognised board. Most of the colleges offer admission to BCA course directly on basis of merit of 12th standard or equivalent examination marks. Some top reputed institutions conducts their own entrance examination to find merit candidates for offering admission in BCA course. So, even if you have passed 12th standard without Mathematics subject from a Government recognised board, you are eligible to get admission for pursuing BCA course. |

It depends upon the university. BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application. BCA Eligibility: Candidate should complete the 12th standard with minimum 50% of marks. |
