IPS is a part of Civil Service exam and conducted by the UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission). To apply for the Indian Police Service exam you should have the following eligibility.
You should have a graduation degree from recognized university.
Your age should be between 21 to 32 years.
There are total 06 attempts for this exam.

There is only need of graduation (BA/BSC/BCOM/BE//BTECH/ETC) after that you need to qualify UPSC CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

To become IPS officer, You should have a graduation degree from recognized university.
Your age limit should be between 21 to 32 years for general candidates.
There is also age relaxation for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
For OBC ; 35 years (upper age).
For SC/ST : 37 years ( Upper age).

There are total 6 numbers of attempts for the general candidates, 9 attempts for OBC candidates, and unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates.

You have to have an undergraduate degree in any field.After completing your undergraduate course with a minimum of 60% ,you can give the civil services examination.According to your merit in the examination and further interview,you will be sent for IPS training.After the training you will be posted in one of the places in India as an IPS officer...

Qualification required to become an IPS officer

The candidates must have a degree of graduation level from recognized university .Candidates who are giving their final degree exam can also apply for this exam.

Age Limit :-
The candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services.

Required qualification to become an IPS officer:-

IPS exam are conducted by UPSC every year.

Minimum qualification required to apply for IPS exam is graduation form a recognised University

Final year candidate can also apply for IAS examination

12th / diploma candidates are not eligible for IAS examination.

There is no minimum percentage required for this examination.

Age limit :-

Your age should in between 21 years to 30 years and relaxation will given for SC/ ST candidates for 5 years and OBC candidates for 3 years.

Number of attempts:-

For General Candidates - 4 times

For OBC Candidates - 7 times

For SC/ ST Candidates - No limit.

The minimum qualification required to become IPS officer is graduation in any discipline from a recognised University and your percentage should not be less than 50 for general category and 45 for the students of reserved categories. After completion of your graduation you have to apply for civil services exams that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.
To qualify the entrance exam you have to first qualify the preliminary exam, main exam and personal interview.

IPS stands for Indian Police Services. This examination is held by Union public service commission every year. For IPS officer candidate must have passed graduation from a recognized university. The minimum age of candidate must be 21 years and not be greater than 30 years. Age relaxation is given to reserved category candidate i.e three years for OBC candidates and five years for SC/ST candidates.

Anyone wishing to become IPS officer has to write the civil services exam conducted by the UPSC.

The eligibility criteria required to become IPS officer are as under :-

-The candidate must have citizenship of India .

-The candidate should have completed graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.The candidate appearing for final year of their degree course are also eligible to apply for the exam.

-The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 32 years.There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate by 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD.

Required qualification for IPS officer

Eligibility Criteria

You must have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.

Age should be in between 21 to 30 years for general category candidates, 21 to 33 years for OBC & 21 to 35 years for SC/ST.

No. of attempts

Maximum 4 attempts for general category,7 attempts for OBC candidates & no limit for SC/ST.

You need to be physically fit.

I.P.S stands for Indian Police Service and for recruitment as an I.P.S officer the candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination.

Civil Service examination is conducted by UPSC every year. The examination is conducted in three stages. The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 21-32 years with relaxation in age for reserved category.

The three stages of examination are Preliminary, Mains and Interview. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
