Re: Jobs in marketing research after MBA in Marketing Dear Sir, I am doing MBA and now i have to choose Major paper but till now i didnt deside which one i have to choose. and since 9 year's i am working in civil engineering field and since 4 years i am working in abroad as production controller/estimator engr. if i will choose finance then can it good for my carier or other wise i can choose marketing so please help me what should i choose (finance or marketing) and my background is not from accounting line so please give me reply. |

I would like to recommend u to go for FMCG's not to fall in jobs for finance or private banks as these experiences will not be very much productive. FMCG is fast moving consumer goods, there are a lot of companies in this sector like 1. Edible companies, 2. Tyre companies 3. Electronic goods 4. and other consumer requirements just maintain a good CV(cirriculum vitae) and look up for the respective companies. thank you. |

Re: Jobs in marketing research after MBA in Marketing Usually in corporate world, there is two streams - corporate and product marketing. Corporate marketing deals with branding, events, advertisements/promotions, media relations and so on. Product marketing is more market research oriented which deals with product positioning, collaterals development, pricing, competitor analysis and so on. So you need to choose between these two to start a career in marketing and finally converge over a period of time with experience. |
