Re: Can I pursue MBBS directly after completing class 12th? How many exams do I have to write?

MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and it is a bachelor degree course of five and a half years after pursuing which you will move towards becoming a doctor.

The basic requirement for pursuing the same course from a recognized university is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized board.

As far as you are concerned about getting admission in the same degree course then as per the MCI ( Medical council of India ) to get admission in any medical college of India you will have to appear in NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) held by CBSE. Apart from this to get admission in AIIMS you need to qualify AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.

For further details about NEET you can log on to the link www.aipmt.nic.in and from AIIMS MBBS examination you can visit the link www.aiimsexams.org.
