Re: Qualifications required for IPS exam? How much height and weight is required? IPS(Indian Police Service) exams are conducted by UPSC every year. Educational Qualifications for IPS : Bachelors degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. Physical fitness criteria for IPS- Height Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) 160 cm Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm Chest Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm. Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm. Eye sight 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye. Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic. Blood pressure (High) Age 23 123, age 24 124, age 25 122, age 28 124, age 30 125, age 32 126, age 34 127. Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test. Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels. Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking. How much height and weight is required? age requirement your age must be 21 years of age on 1st of august. you must have 21-30 years of age to be qualified, if you are belong to sc/st category than you must have 35 years of age limit. for ex serviceman 5 more years of age relaxation is given. physical requirements your height must be 150cms if you are belong to general category. if you belong to sc/st castes you must have 160cms for male and 145 cms for female. chest must be expanded to 5 cms. your eyesight must be 6/12 or 6/29 distant vision for worse eyes and 6/6 or 6/9 for good eye vision. UPSC details you may know that the recruitment process of civil services exam conducted by the union public service examination is called the CSAT or the civil service aptitude test. the civil service examination consists of two types civil services preliminary examination =this exam is conducted for the selection for main examination. civil services main examination consists of both objective carries 200 marks each paper totally 400 marks. paper -1 current events, geography, Indian politics and government, economics and social development, general sciences paper-2 comprehension, logical reasoning and analytically ability, decision making and problem solving, mental ability, English language comprehension skills, basic numeracy, so dear prepare well for this exam. all the best |

IPS Eligibilty Criteria: Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the age of 21-30 yrs, not more than this on 1st August of the year of examination. Education Qualification: Graduate from regognized University in any stream. Final year students can also apply. Re: Qualifications required for IPS exam? How much height and weight is required? You need to be a graduate in any stream of your choice. But it should be from a recognised institute. Incase you are a male candidate your height should be atleast 160cms. If your female it should be at least 150 cms. For men the chest should not be less than 184 cms and females it should be 79 cms atleast. A maximum of 5 cms is allowed. |
