Re: GATE 2010 Eligibilty for Phd Hi Gate rank is needed to study M.tech.M.tech is a two year course.It is the post graduation course which is the extension of b.tech.If you have good percentage in m.tech then IT companies will recruit you.Minimum 70% needed for top most mnc's. Infosys recruits 68% cut off graduates.TCS recruits 60%cut off graduates.persistence needed graduates who are with minimum 70% .similarly any sort of company recruits minimum 60% aggregate. M.tech graduates will be paid high compared with b.tech graduates. For ex: pay scale of graduates 3.25l per annum pay scale of m.tech graduates is 3.50l per annum. Thank you |

Re: GATE 2010 Eligibilty for Phd my friend, now you are in 3rd year in B.E.so according to new rule of GATE ,you are not eligible to apply for GATE.now you have to prepare for next GATE exam ,2013.for getting good marks and prepare for GATE,preparation should be started befor 1 year.so it is very nice for you to prepare GATE. to prepare GATE of your own,you should have to concentrate more in GATE and you have to also prepare your running B.E degree.for preparing good for GATE,you should have to prepare the subject of GATE syllabus which is gone and which is in your running semester.you should have to complete it with good and clearly.then in 4th year ,you have to prepeare the remaining subjects for GATE.you can use some GATE publication,but after the clear your topics. you can also get some tution material for GATE from some students or your friend who go for GATE tution.it is helpful also to you for good preparation for GATE. best of luck........ |

The minimum educational qualification required for appearing in GATE exam for PHd course is: A masters degree in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. Since the mode of obtaining the masters degree (regular/part time/correpondance) is not mentioned in the GATE eligibility criteria so it is assumed that candidates obtaining their qualifying degree through distance mode can also apply. Therefore, you are eligible to appear in GATE exam. |

Re: GATE 2010 Eligibilty for Phd hi friend, Firstly check the university, if it is a valid one , then your postgraduate degree, whether it is attained through correspondence, is valid. And this would be regarded as master degree in GATE examination point of view. You can choose a master/doctral degree such as PhD through IITs and NITs after getting good score in GATE. Re: GATE 2010 Eligibilty for Phd @shashidhar Yeah ofcourse you are eligible for Gate 2010 as for the Ph.D. course, the eligibilty criteria is only a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (no matter it is done through distance education or regular). |
