If you have completed or appearing last year of degree from AMEI, then eligible to apply for IES. IES is the Indian Engineering Services Exam conducted by UPSC. IES Eligibility - You must be Indian Citizen. - You should have passed B.E./B.Tech or appearing final year from a recognized university. - Your age should be between 21 to 30 years on 1st January of the examination year. - Maximum attempts allowed are 6 for General, 9 for OBC & No limits for SC/ST. Selection - Preliminary Exam - Main Exam - Interview IES Exam Pattern Preliminary Exam Paper I : General Studies & Engineering Ability - 200 Marks - Time Duration : 2 Hours Paper II : Engineering Discipline - Total Marks : 300 - Time Duration : 3 Hours Main Exam Paper I : Engineering Discipline I - Total Marks : 300 - Time Duration : 3 Hours Paper II : Engineering Discipline - Total Marks : 300 - Time Duration : 3 Hours IES Important Dates - Date of Notification : 28/09/2016 - Last Date of Application : 26/10/2016 - IES Preliminary Exam : 08/01/2017 - IES Main Exam : 14/05/2017 |

The age of applicants should be in between 21 to 30 years. As per my knowledge, you are eligible to apply for IES exam after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and qualifying AMIE exam. |

You can choose any one subject from above mentioned subject. M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also eligible for IES exam. AMIE stands for Associate Member of Institution of Engineers. The eligibility criteria for Indian Engineering Services or Engineering Services examination is bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university. Final year engineering candidates can also apply for examination. AMIE degree is valid for IES Entrance examination. You can apply for IES examination after bachelor's degree from AMIE. The age limit for IES examination is 21-30 years. IES examination is conducted in four disciplines like Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering and Civil Engineering. |
