AIIMS refers to All India Institute of Medical Science and right now there are seven AIIMS which are operational and admission in these for MBBS course is done through AIIMS MBBS entrance examination not through NEET. Also as you have asked about possibility of AIIMS MBBS entrance examination to be conducted this year then I would like to inform you that it is certainly going to be hld and is scheduled to be held on 28th May 2017 for which the application is going at present which will last till the 23rd February 2017. Also as you concerned about the seat matrix then in over 707 seats are there across all the seven AIIMS in which 350 is available for General category candidate, 189 for OBC category, 105 for SC category and 56 for ST category. It conducts entrance examination is conducted for admission in MBBS course. The examination is conducted online. There are total 707 seats this year for which examination is going to be conducted. AIIMS stands for All India Institute of Medical Sciences and same institutes are known to be best medical colleges of India for medical courses. For taking admission in MBBS degree in AIIMS you are required to appear and qualify AIIMS MBBS entrance examination held once every year. Also for your information the application form for AIIMS MBBS entrance examination 2017 has been made available on its official link from 24th January 2017 which will last till 23rd February 2017. As far as you are concerned about total number of seats available in AIIMS then it is 707 in all out of which seven is reserved for foreign candidates. Further the reservation policy is also followed in which 28% ( 27.5% rounded off to 28 ) is reserved for OBC category candidates, 15% and 7% seats are reserved for SC and ST category candidates respectively. AIIMS entrance examination will be conducted on 28th May this year. The last date to apply for AIIMS entrance exam this year is 23rd February 2017. *You should have minimum of 60% marks in 12th biology as compulsory subject to apply for AIIMS entrance exam. There are 707 seats Indian and Foreign candidates in all AIIMS for MBBS course. |

The important dates for 2017 AIIMS entrance examination is as below: Starting date of application: 24th January, 2017. Last date to apply for exam: 23rd February, 2017. Date of examination: 28th May, 2017. There are total 707 seats in AIIMS at different locations in India for MBBS course. |

If you want to get admission in other institutes other than MBBS you have to appear and qualify in NEET examination conducted by CBSE. But for the admission in AIIMS in MBBS course you have to qualify in AIIMS MBBS examination which is conducted by AIIMS New Delhi every year. The application and examination is conducted online. AIIMS ( All India Institute of Medical Science ) conducts entrance examinaton and candidates after qualifying in entrance examination are eligible for admission in MBBS.
