There are 2 ways to join Indian Army after completion of 12th class. 1st one is TES (Technical Entry Scheme). But for this the candidate should score minimum 80% to get shortlisted and candidate must have gone through Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects in 10+2. As you are from Commerce stream, you might not have gone through these subjects. Hence you are not eligible through TES. 2nd method is through NDA Exam. NDA stands for National Defence Academy. UPSC conducts this twice a year to recruit the candidates into Army wing Navy wing AirForce wing Since you would like to join Army, the eligibility is -You should have completed 12th class with any of the stream from a recognized institute. -No minimum percentage of marks are required for the candidates in 12th class. -Required age should be 16.5 years to 19 years -Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. Once you complete NDA Exam, there would be SSB Interview and Medical Test as well. If you fulfill the above eligibility criteria, I suggest you to have good preparation for this exam and crack it. |

Re: How much percentage is required to join Indian Army after passing class 12th commerce? There are medical and physical standards to be met for joining the Indian Army. Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the higher secondary examination and atleast, have 40% in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English. During the time of admission, he should be 17 1/2 years and must not be over 23 years of age. After or during the +2 tenure, interested candidates need to write NDA Exam for the Army wing of National Defense Academy. Candidates willing to join Indian Army through NDA Exam do not need to have studied Mathematics in the higher secondary level. There will be a compulsory paper of Mathematics in the NDA Exam, conducted by Union Public Service Commission. |
