Re: Is admission to M.Tech possible without completing B.Tech?

I completed my Diploma in Mechanical engineering. Pursuing Btech(CCC) 2004 batch from JNTU, I have 3 backlogs, but there is no chance to get to finish bcoz the CCC courses removed and also 10years completed. So please suggest is it possible to finish these with any request letter from Director. or any thing alternate way to get degree from any recognized university.

Re: Is admission to M.Tech possible without completing B.Tech?

There is general misperception that you can not apply for the Master of Technology course without having completed Bachelor of Technology.

This is obviously not correct. You can definitely apply for the Master of Technology. Although the process will be long. If you want to do M.Tech then I don't see any reason why you can not apply for the B.Tech course.

Anyway to answer your question, if you have completed post graduation in Maths, Computers etc it makes you eligible for the M.Tech course.

Which means having completed Master of Science and the Master of Computer Applications are the courses that can allow you to pursue M.Tech course.

To pursue Master of Technology you will have to appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering. Only upon clearing the GATE entrance exam, you can apply for admission in M.Tech.

GATE Eligibility

1. Bachelor degree in Technology/Engineering/Architecture or

2. Master of Computer Applications degree or

3. Master degree in Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computers

If you have any of the following degree, it makes you eligible for the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering and therefore for Master of Technology course.

I will suggest you to choose the path of Bachelor of Technology course. You can complete M.Tech is 6 years if chooses B.Tech after 12th. However in other case it will be 7-8 years to complete M.Tech.

A degree in B.tech is essential to get admission in M.tech.

There's no possibility to get admission straightway into M.tech.

You need to pursue B.tech and after that you will be eligible to get admission into M.tech.

Re: Is admission to M.Tech possible without completing B.Tech?

no it,s never possible. without bachelor degree how you can take admission in master degree? to take admission in M.Tech you must pass B.Tech first. but you may secure good GATE score from the third year for M.Tech admission before completing your B.tech but you have to take admission after completion of your B.Tech.

to take admission in B.Tech you may go through GATE examination or you may go without GATE score. for GATE score you have to appear in GATE examination. GATE score card is valid for two years. so you may appear in GATE examination from third year and you will be able to take admission in M.Tech with your third year GATE score also. if you go with GATE score then you will receive stipend for your M.Tech study.

if you go without GATE score then you have to take admission in self sponsored seats. for this seat you may have to appear in entrance test or in entrance interview. through this you will be selected for self sponsored seat. you will not get any stipend if you don't have any GATE score. you have to give your M.Tech study expense own.

generally the application forms for M.Tech admission are available from the last week of March each year. the details notification for M.Tech admission come in the institution website.

best wishes.

No its not possible in that fashion

you have to definitely show your b.tech original certificate during the joining of M.tech

and that too the degree must be from a recognized university.

So there is no chance to get admission in M.Tech without B.Tech

you have to write Entrance Test called GATE to get a seat for M.Tech

and also there are Many colleges which conducts Entrances for their Post Graduate programs

So please have a look at them

but remember only after B.tech you are eligible for any of these

or atleast you should be in your final year of Bachelors

Re: Is admission to M.Tech possible without completing B.Tech?

no, it is not possible to get admitted for M.tech without having a B.tech degree.
As the name suggests ,
B.tech is bachelors in technology and
M.tech is master of technology.
so without having bachelors degree how can ypu be get admitted in masters degree course.

the only option for m.tech , is to complete b.tech first, then think of to do m.tech
