M.Tech stands for Master in Technology.
M.Tech can be done with any stream like mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering etc.

Candidate who want to get admission for M.Tech must needs to appear for GATE entrance exam after B.Tech.

Eligibility:
> Candidate must be completed B.Tech with minimum 45%.

> No backlogs in B.Tech

> Candidate must be indian citizen.

M.Tech is available in subjects like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and so on. Specialization areas in civil engineering are structural engineering, transportation engineering, etc. Engineering degree in the concerned subject is the basic qualification required. Admissions are usually carried out on the basis of GATE. Other entrance exams like VITMEE and PGCET is conducted for the purpose.
