Re: Is it possible to do Genetic Engineering after the completion of 10 2 (Medical)? I've just completed 10 2 with 95% in medical I have an utmost interest in genetic engineering. Is there any common entrance exam for genetic engineering. If entrance exams are there can I write them directly or I must read bsc with biotechnology ,biochemistry, chemistry please show me the write way to succeed in this way ......... |

Re: Is it possible to do Genetic Engineering after the completion of 10 2 (Medical)? for all those idiots posting comments as a reply of a question asked by an innocent girl...please donot mis guide somebody if u do not have knowledge about any thing. all of u have js heard names of genetic engineering but dnt actually know what is it? genetic engineering is a branch where u have to modify genes at molecular level.. wat does maths has to do with that.a genetic engineer needs to be a student of biology u idiots not of maths.... SO MISS VARUN PREET KAUR THERE R TWO WAYS BY WHICH U CAN GO FOR GENETIC ENGINEERING.FIRST IS EITHER U GET ADMISSION IN SONE COLLEGE WHERE THEY TEACH BSc. genetics or molecular biology n go for further studies or u can be a doctor first then go for md microbiology and after that for DM MEDICAL GENETICS...PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR MATHS OR U LL GET STUCK WITH MACHINES JUST BECAUSE U LISTENED TO SOME IDIOTS WITH NO KNOWLEDGE OF STUFF |

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for Genetic engineering. Engineering is for those candidate who are pass 12th with maths stream. If you want you can join B.Sc Biotechnology. B.Tech Biotechnology is for those candidate who pass 12th with Physics, Maths biology and Chemistry. For B.Sc Biotechnology you have to pass 12th with Physics chemistry and biology. GOOD LUCK! |

You do have another option of going in for B.Sc in areas like biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology. After that you can go in for specialisation in the genetics at the masters level. If you have an interest in this field it is better not to go in for MBBS. You need to convince your family of your area of interest. It is important that a candidate pursue an area of interest as it is the key to a successful career |

well..generally engineering is a thing which u have to get into..immediately after ur 10+2 so if u go on for completing ur MBBS..there would be no turning back..u wont be able to do this later.. so u have to choose one thing and stick to it..try n convincing ur parents.. these are some good genetic engineering colleges in INDIA.. Genetic Engineering Yes its possible, you can do genetic engineering, but you are in medical field so you will have to enterence exam counducted by JEE. It is not so advisableto do any course in engineering after MBBS, But you can after finishing MBBs specialize in genetic stream which is possible. u must either take MBBS or genetic engineering. It is better to go wit ur parents advice as genetic engn scope is not so high in india.. all the best.. |

Re: Is it possible to do Genetic Engineering after the completion of 10+2 (Medical)? yea it is possible. but after medical course if you come in engineering course then it will take a long time. medical course will take 5 years and after that if you directly want to take admission in genetic engineering then you have to give engineering entrance examination. after cracking the examination you will be able to join in genetic engineering course. i think you should not do this. if you are interested in genetic engineering then you should take admission in genetic engineering. students become successful in that field in which they have personal interest. still if for family pressure it is not possible to take admission in genetic engineering then you may go for medical course MBBS. but in MBBS specialization you may go for physiology and later genetics. you may do further study in genetics. as you have interest on genetic engineering then you will be successful if you work in genetics science branch of medical. you will be able to do research on genetics. best wishes. |
