Re: Steps to be taken after tenth to join Fashion Designing course? Names of institutions for it? For pursuing Fashion Designing course, you must complete 10+2 first. In 10+2, you must secure at least 50% marks from any stream. Then, you can apply for BFD course or Bachelor of Fashion Designing course. In entrance exam, you will have to face questions pertaining to Aptitude, English, etc. For getting admission to NIFT, an entrance exam is conducted jointly by all NIFTs for admission. Re: Steps to be taken after tenth to join Fashion Designing course? Names of institutions for it? You can do many Diploma and Certificate courses after 10th in Fashion Designing. Some of the courses, you can do are certificate courses in fashion designing and garment construction, diploma in fashion design and merchandising, diploma in fashion designing and closing Technology etc. It will be good if you study 12th first and then do a graduate course in fashion designing. Some of the course you can opt are bachelor of fashion designing, BFAD, BFT etc. Some of the these courses are offered through entrance exam, CEED, NIFT etc. List of the colleges for fashion designing course:- NIFT: Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology IICD: Indian Institute of craft and Design FDDI: Footwear Design and Development Institute IID: MIIT's Institute of Design SID: Symbosis Centre of Design Apeejay: Apeejay Institute of Design. |

You must be at least 12th standard student in order to pursue degree course in fashion designing from a recognised Institute and after completing your 12th in any discipline you have to appear in the entrance exam conducted by the particular Institute.
