Re: What is the age limit to join in Merchant Navy? No, you are not eligible for merchant navy because the eligibility criteria is as follows: 1. Completing 10+2 in any recognized board having physics, chemistry and mathematics as their main subjects. 2. Age limit is 16-20 years For SC/ST it is 16-25 years. 3. Height 167 Cms and weight should be proportional to the height. 4. No color blindness. Since your age is 26 you're not eligible for merchant navy and you've done your graduation in Electrical Engineering so, you cannot apply because people who have done their graduation in mechanical or marine are eligible to apply. |

Merchant Navy is a great career option after 12th,it is perfect for those who love travelling, adventure, interested in seeing new places and meeting new people. Candidate age should be between 16 years to 25 Years. Eyesight should be 6/6 without glasses,no color Blindness. Those candidates who have passed your 12th or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from central/state board or recognized school are eligible for Merchant Navy exam. Your age should be in between 16 to 20 years. Physical criteria:- • Eye Sight = 6/6 • Height = 167 cms • Weight = 50 Kg • Chest = 77 cm (Normal) / 82 cm (Expanding) |

Re: What is the age limit to join in Merchant Navy? Age limit for joining Merchant Navy the age limit is different for different education level . To join Navy after higher secondary education you have to compete NDA examination and the age limit for same is the 16.5 years to 19 years . Also for the same examination you must have the done your 12th science stream with Physics , Chemistry , Mathematics and English as the main subjects from a recognized board and you must be an Indian unmarried male candidate . Again for joining Merchant Navy after graduation you will have to go through the CDS examination for which the age limit for Navy wing is 19 years to 22 years . For appearing in the same examination you will have to have done your graduation with Physics / Mathematics /Engineering course from a recognized university and you must have the nationality of India . Both the examination are conducted by union public service commission twice every year .So for more details about the same log on to the official link of same as www.upsc.gov.in . |
