Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and it is a bachelor degree course after pursuing which one heads towards becoming a doctor.

The minimum educational qualification required for pursuing MBBS degree course is a Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in these three subjects put together from a recognized board of examination.

Now as you have mentioned your aggregate in PCB and English put together so it is difficult to tell anything about your eligibility for pursuing MBBS degree course without knowing your actual aggregate in PCB group so you must check your eligibility for pursuing MBBS degree course as per mentioned criteria.

Also for pursuing MBBS degree course from any medical college of India you need to appear and qualify entrance examinations like NEET and AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

No, you are not eligible to apply for admission in MBBS after scoring 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Because the minimum marks required to score in 12th standard are as below:

For general candidates: 50%
For SC/ST/OBC candidates: 40%

So, if belongs to above mentioned reserved category, then only you are eligible for MBBS admission.

MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.

Eligibility criteria for MBBS and BDS course is:

1. Your percentage of marks in PCB subjects should be at least 50%. It is relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates.

2. Minimum age limit is 17 years on last day of year of examination.

You can not apply for NEET exam with only 44% marks.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

To get admission in MBBS course you have to appear and qualify in NEET examination or AIIMS examination.

For appearing in NEET examination required basic eligibility is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th with PCB as main paper with at least 50% in it.

For AIIMS examination minimum 60% in PCB is required.

So, if you have above qualification ( aggregate ) then you are eligible to appear for examination and after qualifying in entrance examination will become eligible for admission in MBBS course.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

The minimum percentage of marks required to apply for competitive examination of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

You scored 44% marks only. Due to less than required percentage of marks, you can not apply for NEET exam for MBBS admission.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. As the name suggests it is a bachelor degree course for which the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with at least 50% marks in PCB group from a recognized board of education.

So if you have managed to secure 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology all put together then you are eligible for pursuing MBBS degree course otherwise not. Marks relaxation of 10% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

Also for taking admission in any medical college of India you need to qualify entrance examinations like NEET and AIIMS MBBS entrance examination. Further for details and updates regarding these examinations you can refer to their respective official links which are www.cbseneet.nic.in and www.aiimsexams.org.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

Yes, you can get admission into MBBS but not in prestigious institutes like AIIMS, CMC Vellore, JIPMER, etc.

As you have secured fewer marks in the primary subjects of Medical stream, so you can get admission to tier 3 medical colleges of India.

It is difficult to get admission to Government Medical colleges.

But, you can get admission to Private medical colleges easily.

Here is the list of some private medical colleges.

The eligibility to appear for NEET is :-

Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board.

Candidates must have passed 12th with English, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and Physics.

Candidate must have minimum 50% in PCB.

So, after excluding English if you have 50% in PCB you can appear for NEET examination

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

If you want to seek admission in MBBS then you have to appear in the all India medical entrance exam conducted by CBSE every year and for that your overall percentage of 12th standard will be taken into consideration.
So you need not to worry about your eligibility criteria but yes if you are scored clashes between two students then percentage of four main subjects will be taken into consideration to give seat.

As per my knowledge if you have scored more than 55% to 60% aggregate to get admission in MBBS.
You need to clear NEET entrance exam to get admission.
Candidate must have passed Intermediate with 60% aggregate from a recognized university.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education every year for MBBS and BDS courses. The academic qualification required for NEET is that candidate must have obtained 50% marks in PCB subjects. If your marks in PCB is less than 50% then you are not eligible for MBBS entrance exam.

You can reappear for board examination to score the minimum percentage of marks required for MBBS entrance examination.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

MBBS refers to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. It is a bachelor degree course of five and a half years ( including one year of internship ) after completing which one heads towards becoming a doctor.

As far as you are concerned about the educational requirement for pursuing MBBS degree course in India then for your information I would like to let you know that for pursuing MBBS degree course from any medical college of India you need to qualify NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ) or AIIMS MBBS entrance examination.

Further for appearing in NEET your overall aggregate in PCB must be at least 50% ( or 40% in case you belong to reserved category ) where as for appearing in AIIMS MBBS entrance examination the minimum aggregate must be at least 60% in PCB.

As you have mentioned your aggregate in top four so it is difficult to say about your eligibility based on the aggregate in PCB so you must check your eligibility as per the above mentioned marks requirement.

For details regarding NEET you can refer to the link www.cbseneet.nic.in where as for details regarding AIIMS MBBS entrance examination you can visit the link www.aiimsexams.org.

Re: Admission in MBBS is possible with 44% in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology?

I guess you are not because according to NEET eligibility criteria one need to acquire 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotech and all together 50% and must pass in English.

So, for you its not possible to appear because combined marks of PCB and English you are getting 44%, it following beyond the criteria as per NEET eligibility guidelines.
