Re: Chemical Engineering: Course Difficulty Level? Job Prospects? Some people will be good in mathematics or technical subjects while some others are good in practical applications. When it comes to chemical engineering it is not a single subject but a mixture of lots of subjects. Chemical engineering consists mainly of the following subjects: Chemical Reaction Engineering Mass transfer operations Fluid flow operations Heat transfer operations Thermodynamics Process calculation Mathematics There are even more subjects but most will be somewhat related to all these basic subjects. First of all the main thing to understand is that chemical engineering and chemistry are not the same but some relation is there but not much. All chemical engineering subjects requires basic to somewhat advanced mathematics. Process calculation can be considered as the basic chemical engineering subject which involves some mathematics and a lot of unit processes and operations. All other chemical engineering subjects are backed by these two subjects mathematics and process calculation. Chemical reaction engineering includes reactor design, catalysis, reaction analysis like order, rate of reaction and all, with minimum chemistry and lots of mathematics like calculus and all. Mass transfer involves the study of mass transfer operations like absorption, stripping, distillation, adsorption, drying, humidification and design of mass transfer equipment like distillation columns, absorption columns, etc Heat transfer mainly deal with conduction, convection, radiation, heat exchangers, evaporators, etc Fluid flow deals with fluid statics, Navier Stokes, Hagen–Poiseuille, Bernoulli equation, pressure drop, flow through pipes, flow over objects, fluidisation, pumps, etc Chemical engineering thermodynamics includes work, compression, expansion, throttling, solution thermodynamics, Gibbs free energy, partial molar properties, excess properties, reaction thermodynamics, etc |

Chemical Engineering: According to course Difficulty you are well in numerical analysis,chemical reactions,Mathematics,Thermodynamics.You are not worried about the course difficulty.If you are not well in one of those above subjects try to learn the basics of those because each of the other subjects also interlinked with these subjects.In 11 th & 12 th physics also important.Try to learn the concepts through basic will help you in any branch in engineering According to jobs you have many job opportunities in abroad countries compared to Our country.In our country also many job opportunities for Chemical engineering.Because now days the chemical students are less compared to required.So you can easily get job if you are average student GOOD LUCK

Chemical engineering is a developing field and lots of students are opting for it and its very popular these days. You can get a job in many reputer companies as a chemical engineer. More than india there is more scope in abroad like US . So go for it if you like the course. Dont think about the course difficulty as one day you will get used to it |

Chemical engineering have a good prospects in future as the reccesion is going on S/W fields,after completing the course you can get chance in Govt. or private sectors like DRDO,TATA Chemicals,Ifco,pharmaceutical company and many more. |

Chemical Engineering is used in various fields such as medicines, pharmaceuticals, paints, petroleum products etc. This is very well paid profession, but opportunities are relatively lesser in India. At the end, every branch has its own difficulties. You can grow up in this field, if you work hard and score good in your BE. |

Job Prospects? hi, the chemical engineering course is not that much difficult because it doesn't involves higher order mathematics like complex analysis,differntial calculus ,partial differntial question and real life problems,actually it involves reaction and their mechanism,if u understand them once by concentrating on ur studies u can hav bright future.Chemical engineers hav wide scope too as chemicals are used in each and every industry being it synthesisig or processing.So go for it hav a bright future ahead. |

Job Prospects? well chemical engineering is a branch has its birth on demand in the western countries.And as it is difficult for management to manage with costly equipment many colleges are not introducing that branch.And if anyone say its not a good branch its because the lack of knowledge about that branch. course difficult level:its easy,it requires basic understanding of physics and maths. job prospectus:chemical engineer comes into play for production on large scale after chemist develops a chemical.he actually builds a plant for its production. |

Job Prospects? dear friends, there is not such a difficulty in this fields. there is very good job scope in this fields. and you can get the job in both the private as well in the government job. but some times in the chemical company there is chanses of the skin deseases. |

Job Prospects? i dont think there is any field which you can do without any dificulty .and when it comes to scope, the scope for chemical engineers is tend to grow in future orms can be downloaded from the official website or can be served in person from the above centers. The form must be filled out completely and the essential details and are required to be submitted before the last day for submission.hemical engineers could make very important contributions for the improvement and maintenance of the quality of life. Since Chemical engineering is a vast field, the job prospectus and career options of a chemical engineer is varied. |
