Re: What is the minimum qualification required to be eligible for IPS entrance exam? #The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS examination conducted by UPSC every year is Graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university. #Age limit to apply for IPS exam is 21-32 years and the age relaxations are 3 years for OBC candidates,5 years for SC/ST candidates #And the maximum number of attempts allowed are, 4 for General category & 7 for OBC candidates & there is no such restriction for SC/ST candidates. #The selection procedure of IPS exam is preliminary exam,main examination,personal interview and medical fitness test. #For further details please visit www.upsc.gov.in |

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year. Qualification required to be eligible for IPS Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National -Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness. Physical Requirement for aspiring candidate for IPS:- HEIGHT:-General Male-165cm, Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm CHEST:- Male-85cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.
