There are so many private companies those recruit biotechnology graduates as well as Masters. You may also go for government job for which only graduation degree is required irrespective of the stream of study like civil services, Indian Army, Indian defence sector. A biotechnologist May find jobs in various quarters in India. Drug and Pharmaceutical research, Chemicals, environment control, waste management, energy, food processing and bioprocessing industries, tanning industries. The salary range good between rupees 25000 to 40000 per month. |

Re: What are the jobs and its packages after completing MSc in biotechnology? Taking up a PhD will certainly boost your career prospects. There is no need to qualify NET exam for the same. You may need to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the institute. After MSc you will find opportunities in research Laboratories, pharmacutical companies, chemical industry. If you want to make a career in the research period you must appear for NET + JRF exam. On clearing this exam they are eligible for the pay scale under UGC norms. After this day pursue a PhD along with their job. |

Scope in Biotechnology >> One can find a scope in research sector, laboratory sector, pharma industry , educational institute. >> Will recommend you to sit in JRF exam and gain a opportunity in research field of Cancer biology, stem cells, genetic engineering etc. Companies who hire are ** Biocon, Dr Reddy, cipla, Torrent pharma, Cadila, Glaxosmithkline, CTS life science, Ranbaxy. Re: What are the jobs and its packages after completing MSc in biotechnology? The Opportunities mostly rely on your areas of Interest. But you can explore yourself in every space of Industry. The main focused job area for science graduate would be Pharma industry. You can get into Clinical research, Research associate, Regulatory writer, Medical writer etc. If you interested into Wet labs, you can explore more into technical works into Labs in any of the Pharma industry having their own R&D. Some of them are listed below. - Drugs & Pharmaceutical research - Laboratories - Chemical industries - Environment control - Waste management - Energy - Food processing industries - Bio processing industries The salary varies field to field. The basic salary will be around INR 9k per month in the government sector. In private sector & private companies the salary varies around INR 12k - 20k. This salary will increase based on your experience. |
