Re: Women candidates eligible to apply for NDA exam or not? 2016 News said that India will open combat roles in Military for woman, we can appear for CDS or AFCAt exam than why not NDA? Training is same for both men and women in OTA than why not NDA for woman? |

Re: Women candidates eligible to apply for NDA exam or not? The full form of NDA is National Defence Academy. Eligibility criteria for NDA entrance exam: 1. You must be 10+2 passed or appearing for board exams of 10+2. 2. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA exams. Female candidates can not apply for NDA exam. |

Re: Women candidates eligible to apply for NDA exam or not? Girls cannot apply for NDA (National Defense Academy) after 12th standard. But, after graduation, you can apply for Indian Armed Forces. This will give you opportunities to join Indian Army and Indian Navy. |

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and for joining the same one is required to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC twice every year. As far as you are concerned about your eligibility for NDA entrance examination being a girl/women candidate then I would like to let you know that for the same examination only unmarried Indian male candidates are eligible. But if you are interested in joining defense services then you will have the option through CDS ( Combined Defense Services ) once you complete your graduation from a recognized university. Re: Women candidates eligible to apply for NDA exam or not? NDA (National Defence Academy ) is conducted twice in a year. The examination is conducted by UPSC. Yes, girls candidates are not eligible to appear in examination. So, you will be not eligible to appear in NDA examination. But, if interested in defence services you can pursue bachelor degree and after completion will become eligible for CDS examination.
