Commercial Pilots are highly trained professional with good knowledge of air navigation and skills to operate highly advanced technology. After competing 10th level the candidates need to follow the following steps to become a pilot:-

<>Candidates need to complete 10+2 level with physics, chemistry and mathematics(PCM) as core subjects with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.

<>The candidates should take an entrance examination and a medical test that is conducted by the flying schools for admission in Aviation and Flying courses. Those who have scored good in both the test get admission in the course. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit with very good eyesight.

<>After completing the training course the candidates are provided the license of pilot.
There are different kinds of licenses like
  • Private Pilot License- Minimum age should be 17 years.
  • Commercial Pilot License- Minimum age should be 18 years.
  • Flight Instructor- Minimum age should be 18 years.
  • Airline Transport Pilot- Minimum age should be 23 years.
  • Recreational Pilot-Minimum age should be 17 years.

<>The candidates with the highest marks in the training course are hired by the airlines directly.

After becoming a commercial pilot also need regular medical check up is required and any health problem will lead to the cancellation of the license. It will be better if you also complete your graduation degree in any science stream.

Some of the Flying Schools for training are:-

>>Madhya Pradesh Flying Club

>>Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Academy

>>Rajasthan State Flying School

After 10th standard, you will have to choose PCM stream in 11th and 12th for studying engineering in any specified branch.

After that, you can apply for CPL i.e. Commercial Pilot License.

For this, you will require nearly 1 lakh rupees and training of 3 months.

After this, Airline companies like Air India, Indigo, Spicejet will recruit you as a Pilot.
