Re: Is it possible to get admission in 2nd year of BCA after completing Diploma in computer Engineering with 83% marks? BCA stands for Bachelor's of Computer Applications. It's a three years degree program. For getting direct admission in second year of BCA course, you must have passed intermediate with one year diploma course in computer application. You are not eligible for admission in second year of BCA only after completion of diploma course. Intermediate is compulsory for pursuing BCA. |

No, you are not allowed for admission in second year of BCA after qualifying the diploma course in computer engineering. You can get admission in second year of B.tech after completion of your diploma course in any stream. BCA is already three year degree program. Your marks in diploma are good but you are nt eligible for admission in second year of BCA. |

No, it is not possible to get admission in 2nd year of BCA course after completion of your Diploma in Computer Engineering course with an aggregate of 83% marks from a Government recognised board. No Lateral entry admissions are offered in BCA course. Admissions are offered only to first year of BCA course in all the colleges. Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary course with minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a Government recognised board are eligible to pursue BCA course. Being a Diploma holder in Computer Engineering, you are not eligible to get admission for pursuing BCA course. But, you are eligible to get direct admission in second year of B.E or B.Tech Computer Engineering course through Lateral entry admission process after completion of your Diploma in Computer Engineering course. |
