Re: How many subjects should I select for SET exam Quote:
In SET exams you can give the exams for only one subjects. Normally candidates are advised to choose the subject that they are studying in their Post Graduation. If that subject is not available in the list of subjects offered under SET, than they can choose any similar subjects Since you are studying in M.com, you can choose the subject COMMERCE. ELIGIBILTY-Post Graduation pass with minimum 55% marks for the General and OBC candidates minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates. Currently MAHARASTRA SET exams forms are being filled Last date to apply is 31st december 2012 |

Re: How many subjects should I select for SET exam SET stands for State Eligibility Test. This is the exam which is conducted for the state governments for the college lectureship. On the other hand NET exam is conducted by UGC for the central government. Each state of India is required to conduct State Eligibility Test for college lectureship. If a state does not conduct this exam, then it has to select candidates who college lectureship through the National Eligibility test. You can only apply for lecturer job in state government colleges by clearing the State Eligibility Test. If you cleared the Gujarat SET exam then you would be eligible for lecturer job in colleges funded by the Gujarat government. Eligibility 1. You should be citizen of India. 2. A post graduation degree in any discipline. 3. Must complete post graduation from UGC recognized university. 4. At least 55 percent marks. 5. SC/ST need 50 percent marks. 6. Final year students can also apply. 7. But should be able to submit the post graduation degree within 2 years of clearing SET. 8. M.Com students should pick commerce as the NET subject. 9. There is no limit on number of attempts. Age Limit 1. The age limit is 28 years for JRF. 2. There is no upper age criteria for lecturer job. |
